There’s a new way to play blackjack—and you can win Bitcoin for playing.
THNDR Games, a company that specializes in play-to-earn games built around Bitcoin and the Lightning Network, announced Tuesday that it has added a competitive version of blackjack to its Clinch gaming app. The app is available for iOS via the App Store, as well as via direct download for Android or available to play on the web.
Unlike some Bitcoin games that are heavily ad-supported and pay out tiny slivers of BTC while you play, Clinch’s blackjack experience—which joins solitaire and a puzzle game called Blocks—requires players to wager their own Bitcoin.

For example, you can pay $0.30 worth of Bitcoin via a connected wallet to play against another player and potentially win $0.50. That’s the lowest entry point, with multiple options ranging up to a $120 buy-in with a $200 prize for the victor.
Clinch’s take on blackjack shakes up the rules of the classic card game.
“In the THNDR version, you and your opponent face off with the exact same cards over 10 nail-biting rounds. Same deck, same dealer rules, same stakes—only your moves decide who’s walking away with the pot,” an official blog post reads. “After 10 rounds, we tally up the chips, and the sharper player snags the glory, and the cash.”
THNDR has also published Bitcoin-centric mobile games like Tetro Tiles and Club Bitcoin: Solitaire, both of which pay players BTC via the Lightning Network.
